Over the past fifteen years Michael has led hundreds of wildlife events inspiring, educating and engaging thousands of people from Shoreham to Svalbard. 

As a school educator he has taught hundreds of children about their local wildlife (and led their costumed parade through the streets of Lewes dressed as an Elvis impersonator with a grass cape adorned with Adonis Blue butterflies).

For six years he organised and delivered ‘The Secret Wildlife Festival’ – an annual 3-day wildlife and camping event which allowed families to immerse themselves in a long weekend of bats, badgers, beetles and BBQ.   

His popular wildlife education courses for adults, both in person and online, have given thousands of people an insight into the natural world – helping them take their first steps in identifying butterflies, birds and other wildlife.

He is a skilled wildlife guide sharing his passion and knowledge with groups of people or individuals, leading them on guided walks across heath and downs, through woodlands and over rocky shores.  Recently he has worked on willdife cruises helping passengers to identify seabirds, whales and dolphins and guided groups north of the Arctic Circle in Svalbard.
